You really excel at the Brit pop genre Tony . You’ve got the Beatles sound and vibe down . Great vocals and the lyrics tell the tale perfectly. Very relatable. Great work !

This song would fit perfectly on a Beatles or Wings album, it has retro elements blended with your own contemporary influence. I like the way you have captured the melancholy subject in the melody & vocals. A song that many ppl out there will relate to.

excellent keys mate, so good! haven't heard this before - I wore the grooves off my vinyl copy of 'venus and mars' and to date that record is still in my all time top 10 Lp's but for some reason I missed his 1976 long play (came back for the sheer genius of 'back to the egg' in '79!) - very much like it, great cover Tony, vocals, mix, cool!

Excellent stuff!! Great job on the lyrics, something we can all relate to. Superb vocals & harmonies and I really like the way the guitar weaves in & out. I hear a definite retro element to this & it has that radio ready mass appeal - the perfect Brit Pop hit.

great brit pop sound Tony, it's a cool song and takes us all the way back to those heady 60's days - You just own this sound and these OG's are so reminiscent of that whole mid sixties (not just the Beatles, but all the bands from Gerry & the Pacemakers to Dave Clark Five, Badfinger et al) Very cool piece mate, really enjoyed this!

First heard as a 10 year old when it was a moderate hit in Oz (2 years later would see ELO go ballistic here) I heard it another time 9 years later in LA, which gave it a mythical almost surreal buzz that I remember to this day - love this song and really love your version - as David says you’ve recorded a perfect version of this, vocals are brilliant!
Hi Tony, well I never have listened to Julian's songs, but this is a stand alone quality song cover or not friend !!!
