Hi Bob, I've just recorded a new and vastly improved version of Hurdy Gurdy Man. It's up on my page now.
I'm much happier with this version.
Hope you like it. Quite a musical side step for me. I don't often go all acoustic.
I used 6 and 12 string acoustic guitars and only went electric with the bass.
Hope that you'll enjoy a trip down memory lane to 1698.

I ORIGINALLY RECORDED ALL MY SONGS AND INSTRUMENTALS STRAIGHT INTO COOL EDIT AND THEN ADOBE AUDITION (1.5) PROGRAMMES ON MY PC. HOWEVER, AFTER I CHANGED OVER TO WINDOWS 10 I ENCOUNTERED UNSOLVABLE LATENCY ISSUES. SO I NOW RECORD INTO A ZOOM R24 STAND ALONE RECORDER. THE R3CORDED WAV FILES CAN BE RE-ASSEMBLED AND MASTERED IN THE ADOBE AUDITION PROGRAMME. A BIT LONG WINDED BUT I CAN STILL GET A DECENT SOUNDING SONG IN THE END.
YES, WE BOTH GO BACK TO THE COCONUT BLUES CLUB DAYS.
UNFORTUNATELY I WASN'T ABLE TO CREATE A TUNE FOR THIS CHALLENGE. THE QUALITY OF ALL THE PIECES IS VERY HIGH. I'VE ENJOYED LISTENING TO THEM ALL. I WISH RIDRICQ HAD BEEN ABLE TO RECORD ONE TOO. ALL THE BACK ROOM WORK SHE DOES IS SO APPRECIATED BY US ALL.

THANKS DR. BOB, ACTUALLY I ORGANIZED THE WHOLE THING BECAUSE CARLO WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ELIGIBLE TO ENTER THE COMPETITION IF HE'D BEEN AN ORGANIZER. IT MADE SENSE FOR JUST 1 OF US TO STAND DOWN FROM THE COMPETITION & ACT AS COORDINATOR.
