i am Steve Weyman from Bristol England and been playing guitar since I was 9 years of age and doing paid gigs in bands from age 14 playing covers and originals. I am a bit older ( quite a bit older now ! I am not gigging at the moment . I am teaching guitar and concentrating more on writing and recording in m y little home studio. Don't write in a particular style, it comes out how it comes out !

Well I’m not the biggest Knopfler fan, but he has produced some truly great songs and this is one of them. Your version is just unreal. Yes you’ve totally mastered the guitar playing (fantastic in itself), but how you got that guitar synth tone using only the strat is just pure genius. That understated almost auto-wah sound is what makes the song - I’ve heard others cover it and without that sound the tune falls a bit flat but you just nail it here. Wonderful stuff. Oh yeah and the vocal and overall production are top notch too.
Fantastic job Steve - you might just convert me yet!

Only you can pull off Knopfler! Wonderful listen Steve. I like the whole production as well giving it your own feel for the song. How you got the knopfler guitar tone is beyond me.

Steve, this opens superbly, just so damn good! love the whole track, it's crystal clear, rich and full in sound and guitar's brilliant - mix of keys/vocals ace it but they always do! 10/10!

Great job on this Dire Straits classic. Guitar playing is spot on as are the vocals and keyboards. It's hard to believe it's been so long since this album came out. Time flies.
Great work on this cover, Steve! I always liked this song and your rendition is absolutely awesome. It may be a cover, but you make it your own, by the fresh and enjoyable, straight forward way you are passing this on to the listener. Super work on all levels!
