Story behind the song
Lindsey Buckingham wrote this about the break up with Stevie Nick's and they were performing together at the time which made it a very intense watch live ! This version is based on the 97 live dance tour version which is much more dynamic than the original studio version. I did this song like The chain we did previously so my young daughter Maizie can get performing and recording experience . She did a great job and i'm still proud she wants to perform old songs with her old dad ! Hope we did it justice .
Lyrics
Loving you isn't the right thing to do. How can i ever change things that I feel? If I could, maybe, I'd give you my world How can I when you won't take it from me? You can go your own way (go your own way ) You can call it another lonely day You can go your own way (go your own way) Tell me why everything's turned around Packing up, shacking up is all you wanna do If I could, baby ,I'd give you my world Open up, everything's wating for you You can go your own way ( go your own way) You can call it another lonely day You can go your own way (go your own way ) Guitar break You can go your own way (go your own way) You can call it another lonely day (another lonely day) You can go your own way (go your own way) You can call it another lonely day Guitar outro

You've recorded another great FM song with great precision and skill. I agree with Tony, and maybe up Maizie's backing vocals a little. Really rocking out at the end...love it. Well done

Masterful performance Steve. Maizie sounds great with her harmonies. All the parts are well....nailed. And wow a fantastic guitar solo. Top draw in all aspects. Well done to you both.

A difficult full-on kind of song, but you've pulled it off with great skill. The original had 3 lead vocalists involved & world class guitarist, to come up with a cover of this quality is a massive achievement. Love the vocals & Maizie's harmonies sit perfectly behind your lead. Superb outro guitar solo. Stunningly good job!

Another home run Steve! You nailed the guitar parts. Vocals are excellent and the two of you sound very good together. I’m listening on my EarPods not my studio headphones which is not as precise but I might like your daughter up a little in the mix. Not a criticism just a thought. Excellent track. And how are you doing your drums I agree with Brett they are very good

Fantastic job on this FM classic. I don't know how you do it all. The drum parts on their own are very well done. This version captures more of the live version than the studio version. Great job on the vocals both parts. The guitar outro rocks with a lot of really nice sustain on it. Looking forward to the next song you tackle!
