Cosmic Taxi is back
Mar 22, 2009
After nearly a year of musical hiatus, the duo of Bluenevus and Saxsinger is back stronger than ever. The musical texture comes back richer with greater depth and expression. The instrumentation ranges from the traditional to the experimental with fresh melodies and music that is alive. Very experimental in nature, Cosmic Taxi is putting the fun back in Jazz with a blend of traditional, modern electronic music and free inspiration.
Dedication to Joyce Davis

If you don't know Joyce, she is a person with so much positive energy. I was surprised when I learned what had happened years ago. I have seen her work with so many artists and listened to her music I would have never guessed her condition. The point is, she doesn't let her situation hold her back. From what I understand, Joyce was a singer/songwriter/guitarist for 35 years until a series of unfortunate events put her into a coma for 4 weeks, and had her in the hospital for several months. Joyce woke up as a quadraplegic. After 6 months in a rehabilitation hospital, she was able to regain some strength in her arms and hands, hold her head up and sit up without tipping over. She was left as a paraplegic, on oxygen, with irretractable pain in my coccys and feet. She could no longer sing or play the guitar. She decided she can still write lyrics, and have partnered with a number of artists of which I had the pleasure. So Joyce...Baiko and I under the TD project wrote the song "Mending Time" inspired by the events in your life but more importantly, the positive persistence you have and the gift you continue to bring through your lyrical work. God bless you Joyce. Bluenevus - "Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't"

One of life's great pleasure is that of choice in variety. Hershey's Almond Joy/Mounds put it best, “Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't”. That is what the artist Bluenevus is about...music not constrained to a single genre. Bluenevus has collaborated with over 65 artists worldwide to bring music from easy going Latin Jazz to some pretty twisted Gothic Rock. Bluenevus doesn't represent a one man band but an artist who absolutely loves to collaborate with others and bring new perspectives on music. Bluenevus is primarily an electronic artist who uses a plethora of synthesized sounds to include drums but often contributes live instruments such as piano, electric bass and guitar. Aside from these collaborations, you will also find Bluenevus as a member of several active bands to include Teleported Donkey (Downtempo), Rustling Silk (Progressive Rock) and Cosmic Taxi (Nu Jazz). http://www.soundclick.com/bluenevus
Ruslting Silk - A different musical perspective

Does silk really rustle? Probably not. Its about perspective on sound and Rustling Silk's perspective aims to be different. Not quite alternative, not quite electronic, not quite adult contemporary and not quite progressive rock. Rustling Silk is more of a fusion of these genres to bring together a painted landscape using a plethora of colors from differing palates. For the duo of Bluenevus and Evansorchid, its all about the layers. Listen to the rich assortment of instrumentation from an Aphex Twin style glitch to the retro UK guitar fuzz of yesteryear brought together in Rustling's style. What may seem disjointed comes together through arrangement often different from many. Rustling Silk's change ups from tempo to the sometimes bizarre that will leave you wondering, “where did that come from...but strangely it fits”. So what are you waiting for? Listen for yourself to what some describe as a “crazy carousel of a song”. http://www.soundclick.com/rustlingsilk
Teleported Donkey Chill Pill

When you're looking to get high on some mental freedom, you won't find uphoria at your local druggist. Instead, let Teleported Donkey be your pill pusher. Teleported Donkey's chemistry will immerse your senses with a lush landscape of symphonic strings, mellow downtempo beats, enigmatic bass lines, and cinematic piano against a rich assortment of intoxicating electronic treats. Yeah...its feels sooo good! Teleported Donkey dispenses this chill pill at no cost to you so sit back, relax and mellow out to some aural ecstasy. http://www.soundclick.com/teleporteddonkey
