Yep definitely a cool psychedelic vibe here ! You definitely nail psychedelia ! Great new take on this great 60s song . I think Donavon was very underrated.Great guitar and vocals suit the vibe . Very arrangement. Nice !

well done David! yes, what a great interpretation of the mellow yellow guy's cool and trippy pop classic! love how you've not only put your stamp on this but also given it such a whole new sound/arrangement - love mid section ('way to go baby') - you nailed 'beat goes on' (very similar vibe) and now this, cool! your new toy sounding so so good too!

You've definitely taken us on a psychedelic trip with this one David! I really like the additions & your own take on this, great guitar & I love that far out vibe! An excellent venture back to the 60's with a contemporary twist.

with Tony on this, got a very Dylan feel but then Donovan was the UK's Bob there for a while so the similarities are not only cool but perfect for this cover mate, you NAILED it, love the faux KC fx, have been to St Pancras so yeah it's a cool memory - harp is off the charts, love it!!!!!

cool song mate, excellent playing, vocals and mix on this - never heard of Bill (checked and yeah he didn't happen in AUS for some reason, think UK had him on their own as didn't notice Stateside charting either) - seems like a great artist as this song's very cool! well done!

I recorded this way back in 2011 but for some reason removed it. Years later I saw the error of my ways and reinstated it. I must have put many hours of studio time into this and into its companion piece, Radio City (1980)

great cover here David, man it kicks off and just rocks big - lovin' it mate, vocals are great and really rock with the verses (bridge sections got that whole Mick J emotional rescue feel which is very cool - I would have had to echo the guts out of it for my vox as I wouldn't have got there...lol!) well done! good friend in high school was crazy about Cream, he was way cooler than the rest of us, lol!

Sounding really good David. An epic song to take on, and you've definitely done it justice! You've injected a little of your own style into this & it works perfectly! A fantastic trip down memory lane!

The Bridge sections were a bit of a challenge vocally ... so this is my very first venture into 'falsetto' ... ;-) I used the Wah-Wah pedal on my Line 6 Pod Go pedal for the ... well, for the Wah-Wah parts of course ;-)

I love the fact that you always introduce me to music I haven’t heard before ! What a great driving track ! Revstar sounds great . Fantastic vocals and production . I don’t need to listen to the original this is good enough for me ! Just to say having left message on your main page saying I can’t type in this page it’s now working ok !

Thought it was an 80’s drum machine but looks like 1999, which isn’t too ancient…well…we were at Palings one night in 80’s (biggest music store in the day in Bris) and they programmed a DX9 and a Roland drum machine to play Janet Jackson’s ‘what have you done for me lately’ at full tilt and Bruce bought the synth on the spot! Ah, good times!

mate, what an excellent cover you've done here (I prefer it to the OG btw!) your guitar skills, mixing (love that 80's drum machine) and vocals David are brilliant, - this is brilliant! Also, I thought the line was 'who'll ask about us when we're gone', lol... power pop genius David, well done!

I really like this & you've done a great job with everything - vocals, guitar & production. Never heard the song before, or the band...you have a knack of coming up with some long lost gems!

Yeah! Great cover of a great song that was on the B side of a 45 I had in the 70's . It was a slow to reach hit status if I recall.
