Meet Me In this Place Meet Me In this Place
Quick Demo - Maple Jumbo acoustic, cross-harp, live snare, shakers
Self (The Inside Story) Self (The Inside Story)
One pass demo on Nylon string. First take I added a number of jazz runs, but I felt it distracted. Second take I played it straight and I think the sparse arrangement helps deliver the message.
Saved by Mercy (Covered in Grace) Saved by Mercy (Covered in Grace)
Ovation Legend with a stereo chorus overdubbed with a Ash/Maple Zolla Electric with a Full Drive 2 MOSFET fed through a Pod XT,
Calling Out Calling Out
A bit of rock and roll through competing Matchless Amps (Chief/D-20). G&L bass is played through a A & E amp to give it a livelier sound.
Pretty Lie or an Ugly Truth Pretty Lie or an Ugly Truth
One fingerstyle pass of my Vista HD-28 (Mic/Direct and stereo chorus hard panned. I did all of the background vocals, though I swear I hear some that I didn't record. Maybe a little help from angelic choir? Drums and Bass. Remixed 2020
Empty Empty
This was originally a live song, but I ended up multi tracking the chorus. There is one and only one guitar and its live, gaffs and all. Its finger style on #1 with LR Baggs pickup through a guitar pre-amp with a Delay. Remixed in 2014.
With Me In The Dark With Me In The Dark
Simple demo with two overdubbed electrics. Song reminds if a classic end of first side song that transitions the album from one side to the other. Lost and Found...
Eternal, Wise - I Am Eternal, Wise - I Am
3 stereo guitar tracks - Alvarez Jumbo, Ovation Deacon 12-string, Zolla Rosewood Custom. There are no drums or bass and only 1 vocal. It's got a bit of Folk Rock feel due to the 12-string and maybe just a hint of U2. Remixed 2020
You're Right Here You're Right Here
Guitar and Vocal demo. Guitar break parts were done by me, which is always dangerous. Remixed 2020.
Thorns Thorns
Main acoustic is a Ovation Legend with a 12-string and nylon string to provide the back beat arpeggios. Dave Rosky provided the sole electric parts in the intro and outro.
Dave Rosky /collab Christian Rock
Righteous Savior Righteous Savior
Straight ahead rock-n-roll, though restained by processing. One pass through a Crunchy twin. Overdubbed 12-string electric and GL Bass. There's a few layers of backgrounds to make it sound more like a band.
Devil's Playground Devil's Playground
Takamine F-360S/Ovation Legend - Takamine F-400 is used on the intro and the chorus. All Acoustics. A few stacked vocals.
The Third Day The Third Day
Drop D tuning an partial capo. Two fingerstyle guitars (Ovation Legend/Takamine F-360S) and a Takamine 12-string for some high-end glitter. Intro and Outro are recorded with a Cordoba FCWE.
Stephen was Rightous Man Stephen was Rightous Man
The chorus is two stereo pairs. 3 separate guitar tracks. Theres a 12-string panned right and high-hat panned left to provide more high-end to the 6 string. The pseudo-Kinks ending was a happy accident.
O Sacred Head now Wounded O Sacred Head now Wounded

Beyond the Cross Beyond the Cross
