This is Jeff Kratzman's Christian Page. I have two categories one for Secular and one for Christian songs. I've had a lifelong relationship with Christ and not to explore the spiritual side in music, would be foolish. I hope you enjoy the songs and take the time to follow-up on some of the Bible verses that inspired the songs. I welcome all feedback, but unpleasantness will just be deleted. This isn't a forum for theological debate. If you don't want to listen to Christian Music, try the Jeff Kratzman - Songs link. There's another 50 songs there.

Story behind the song
Thorns unleashed (Gen 3:18) a messiah predicted by Isaiah 10:17 and worn by Christ as a crown on his way to the cross to once and for all conquer death and sin. Verse 3 is almost directly taken from Isaiah. The prince of the power of the air and this fallen world is Satan - See Eph. 2:2.
Lyrics
1. Thorns of dirt and earthly woes Surrounding the divine like a king (Matt 27:29, John 19:2, Mark 15:17) Thorns unleashed after the fall (Gen 3:18) Surrounding the head of my Lord Such a fallen world For me and my twisted sin And the prince of the power of the air (Eph 2:2) But I lay my burdens down at the cross 2. A diadem for the king of the Jews Whos own did not receive him (John 1:11) One who knew this world from the point of creation (John 1:1) Freeing us from the power of the grave (Hosea 13:14, I COR 15:54-56) 3. The light of Israel will become a fire The Holy One for a Flame And in a single day burned and consumed The thorns and briars of this world (Isaiah 10:17) 4. You paid the price, that was solely mine (I Peter 1:17) My sins and my dessert briars (Proverbs 16:19, Heb 6:7-9) You wear upon your head like a crown As rivulets of blood trickle down 5. Im so unworthy You took my mantle, though undeserving To carry this earths fallen thorns So that in you we can be reborn
