This is Jeff Kratzman's Christian Page. I have two categories one for Secular and one for Christian songs. I've had a lifelong relationship with Christ and not to explore the spiritual side in music, would be foolish. I hope you enjoy the songs and take the time to follow-up on some of the Bible verses that inspired the songs. I welcome all feedback, but unpleasantness will just be deleted. This isn't a forum for theological debate. If you don't want to listen to Christian Music, try the Jeff Kratzman - Songs link. There's another 50 songs there.

Story behind the song
Gen 32:22-32; Gal 5:22-23; Col 1:11, Gal 1:14 Song was written in 2011 and it's about our dependency on Christ instead of our own self sufficiency. On a personal level I think we all do some wrestling with Gods will for our lives. In Genesis 32:22-32 Jacob wrestles with an angel and with all humbleness I can relate. I wanted what I wanted on my timeline and by my rules, and I learned the hard way that God doesn't owe me anything and he doesn't need to explain himself to me. I do remember being so broken that I knew that to bridge the gap between us, he would have to reach out to me.
Lyrics
1. I remember being 18, and things were unresolved Like Jacob I spent some time, wrestling with God I could never slow down to hear that specific voice That said this is what I made you for I am so lost, that I cant see Reach out to me 2. I know, You know, I traveled down a winding road When I got there, I could not find my direction home How many times in this life , Have I trapped myself Even God cant save you now 3. I never had that virtue, referred to as patience But it appears God planned for me to wait That things would never be instant or considered easy I was never comfortable just leaning on faith 4. Father God, Im not worthy, of the sacrifice on Cavalry The blessings that you shower down upon this wayward child Are more than any sinner has ever deserved And yet you poured yourself out in love
