synth pop with a dark vibe, experimental and an African-esque rhythm running through it...play on the title, apologies to goffin and king...
Of Everything I Do
Of Everything I Do
very new music (written, recorded and mixed during the past week starting with the first reports of what's going on in the middle east) It's not entirely about that...maybe not even about that...but it coincides with those first reports...

podcast 'man on the run'
decided to do an audio blog (podcast, lol!) what the?! blogs here on SC are unbelievably useless (as indeed I may find out is the case with this as well, haha!) Keith and Tony talking about the new Macca doco got me thinking...

Standing On The Inside - Neil Sedaka
Show all videos (18)
The great Neil Sedaka passed away recently and world’s a sadder place because of it - Neil gave us so much good music and great times through that great decade (the 70s) and if we don't think we've lost something special than we're crazy...and if we think that time or folks like him are coming back anytime soon then we are complete fools.
Michael Keaton in a scene from 'Birdman' is here due to his brilliant acting abilities as well - his brilliant turn in Ron Howard's 'Night Shift' showed the world what they could expect from this gifted actor...we're all getting older with every day...we got memories but they fade just like pictures in an album so live for today and make that count as it's really the only thing anyone has...Coldplay is on in the background on our smart TV sound bar...when did the stereo disappear...it's 'the scientist' and man, that's a sad song...lol!
...both of me, one when the twin towers were still standing, NYC harbour and all of us doing the Beatles thang at THE abbey road in St John's Wood, London (I had to get a photo of me taken by my son crossing a la John Lennon style and then insert that into the photo I took of rest of fam as a: they didn't know how to make it look, lol and b: didn't have time to get a stranger to do it and line it up as I have done, lol! you've got to love the Beatles to make it look like the Beatles...a lot of folk just going thru the motions of 'being there' for no real actual reason...ha! how presumptive of me...but true...;)
can you still recall in the juke box hall when the music played
and the world spun round to a brand new sound in those far off days..
in their blue suede shoes they would scream and shout
as they sang the blues, let it all hang out..

Agree totally with the sentiments in the lyrics! Love the synth sound & the arrangement, kind of electronic 80's tribal! A fantastic fusion of styles.
Bowie yeah, but we all love a bit of Bowie. Can't go wrong there. Excellent lyrics and melody. And the arrangement too. Top job again Greg.
Well this is more left field than usual, but i agree with Tony. Love how you mash it up. Absolutely love this Greg. Funky and definitely got an African feel to it, mixed with 80s synth pop. Brilliant!
I agree it has a Bowie flavor. This is an excellent original. Very good production and engaging melody. Your drums are very good how do you get drums ?
One of my favorite Donavan tunes. You are nailing this. Love it.
