I had a listen to Mask Part 1. It's quite impressive, very creative, well-executed, well-thought-out, altogether a very nice piece of music. Good luck to you. You're invited to our page for a listen if you're so inclined.

Hello Neil--Lap steel? Me too. I'm going to dig in and listen--I'm a fool for that particular instrument. Cheers, MH
Neil, most people are not aware of the bass being more than an instrument only for means of accompaniment but a "melody maker". Now here we have this sad yet uplifting Clapton thing, synth, tiny little bit of percussion and muliptle basses. Man, how great this fretless sound comes. Fantastic work! Cheers from Frankfurt Andreas
Neil, well this is different to the Seventh Chakra music, right. But it´s, well...honest! And it is a wonderful piece of music. Thank you!

Hi Neil... Hey man...thanks for visiting our page...and for your great post! It's really nice to see you back again...you're a standout here at SCS. Maybe if you get a chance...you might listen to a few tracks we did in your absence. I normally wouldn't ask that of anybody...but I value your opinions...and these are both a bit different from what you're probably used to hearing from us. "The Road Less Traveled" and "Ain't No Hiding In A Digital World" are the titles...and the song info should fill you in on the rest. No biggy if you can't get to them for a while. They aren't going anywhere. :D Thanks, bro. Hugs...Mike (NAV)

Neil, I can not express how great this production is! You are the pro in a sea of amateurs! All fits, lyrics, guitars, drums, well BASS of course. Love this great piece of music!

Hi Neil... Fantastic production on this one.Thought provoking and deep lyrics. As usual...excellent bass work. This is an epic. I really liked the delay on the drums. Crisp and clean. Everything is outstanding. Kudos to the huge cast that contributed to this. Great guitar work and powerful dynamics...too. This song covered a whole lot of musical territory.Very well done! Hugs...Mike (NAV)

A haunting flute behind the acoustic guitar was sweet! And was that a stand up bass (or acoustic anyway) ? I liked the way you kept the instruments subdued, and let them complement each other until the crescendos. Mike Hopley did an outstanding job on lead guitar balancing the strings nicely. This was a well crafted song that kept me so interested, I didn’t even notice the length of the song!

Neil - It took some time, but I finally got around t hearing some of your stuff. I listened to Mask - this kind of piece takes a HUGE amount of dedication, focus & vision to pull off - all qualities which I have in short supply but which you seem to possess in barrels - I truly admire anyone who can actually pull this stuff off! Years ago , I was into Yes, ELP, WIshbone Ash & King Crimson, so I have an appreciation for what you do, no matter how you want to classify it. It;s classy, quality material. Great work! Skeeter.

Hi Neil, I dug the Dylan nod in Chained By Choice.Great work. The Mask Part 2 would scare the crap out of Trent Reznor. I always like the blend of traditional and modern music. How far North are you? Luke

Hey Neil!! Yea, that's a pretty wild site. There are some sick smiley's, huh?!?!? Some guy at Aural Moon....WEB PROG-Radio turned me on to it. yep!!www.auralmoon.com, cool "prog" music site :-) Rob
Hi Niel, Always nice to meet up with a fellow Canuck in cyberspace... great stuff.. nice atmosphere. Keep up the good work. Rick ps.. the mellotron was indeed real, but has since been sold and replaced by samples.... unfortunate but necessary.

Hey Neail, just following up on the questions you asked on my page. The B3 sound on "Early Warning" is a patch I created in Synth1, as are all my Hammond sounds. Love the total control of the tone that way. The quantizing effect is something I'm not aware of using, but I know I have on a few occasions. I do try to keep everything on beat while performing as much as possible. If you could give some specific examples I'd appreciate it, I as I am blind to the fault and don't want to sound all wrapped up too tightly. Thanks again for the great comments! And BTW I have just put 3 new tracks up (last 8 hours) so if you haven't already heard them...well there they are. :) PS - "Love The Mask 2" so much! Killer production and total feel!

Hi Neil - thanbks for the comments and the visit - I turned off the 2 minute fade business, if you want to go back. I'll be stripping out the synth to replace with a guitar, since the keys are universally unpopular on that song! I haven't visited your page recently, but will make a point of listening over the holidays. Have a great Christmas, Neil.

Hey Neil. What diverse music you and your mates have created here! I hear strands of Floyd, Pulsar, Enigma, maybe even a little Renaissance, but of course these are only evident influences in your very original, soulful and powerful compositions! Also, thanks for taking time from all this creativity to come over to my site and share such kind words of support. I really apreciate the generous support. All the best! PS - you never replied to the thread about the Sixth Chakra, the A'jna or Third Eye center and it's energy. I could bore you to tears with stories and tales of such mystical things! :) Take care.
