Review of: Tell Me Something feat. Jon Partelow
I have not listened to Nuff X material for about 2 to 3 years, when I first started music production.
At that point in time I can remember the tracks being good solid dance tracks, although they did not seem to vary from the beaten path nor draw me in as much as other Soundclick artists did at the time.
Three years later the story is very different, not only has the production of the tracks improved greatly but the sound has matured as well.
In the latest offering NUFF X explores the IDM/Glitch genres with an ambient track featuring Jon Partelow on vocals.
The track does not immediately get underway, although the build up to the introduction of vocals could be improved by including the piano/synth loops which only kick in when the vocalist starts to sing.
When the vocals do get underway at the start they are a little shaky and do take a while to get use to, although they quickly settle down and meld with the music.

Just listening to some more of your tunes. I enjoyed your EP in a day so much. This is good stuff. As I explore the genres more you're a creative bright spot among a lot of creative people!

"regrets" was interesting... actually SOUNDED like "regrets" lol... I don't know what "trip hop" is either, so.. categorizing genre's is most def not my forte...
the track is soothing... perhaps a "melodic trance" lol, seeings as I was sent on a bit of an excursion today to discover what "Melodic Trance" is...
1:56 did, however, begin to feel very "trippy" to me, so um... perhaps "trip trance" is indeed a perfect genre classification... ok... 2:38 and it's still very very "trippy" lol...
a lottuv effects in this track... much variety holds my attention nicely...
3:28 brings me back into the mellower vibe I'm more comfortable with.
3:50 starts a very "trippy" convex of multiple melodies in a very nearly conficting arrangement if it weren't for the shwoop shwoops of the laser sounding synth...
long track, huh. :D
4:51 and I'm noticing that I'm tired... and wondering "how much longer"... I could hear this broken up as two tracks... it's certainly long enough...

I listened to carry on bi, handful of nails, and children of god. You are original and have your own style. I definitely like children of god the best.
I will listen to more in the future and let you know which ones catch my attention the most.
