a song which is a classic having that Monkees feel all over it due to it being written and performed by original Monkees hitmakers, Boyce & Hart.

some people get by with a little understanding, some people get by with a whole lot more..
Think back to when Bon Scott played his last gig with AC/DC (it’s actually this day 27.01) back in 1980 before he would succumb to an untimely death due to misadventure and remember how the world seemed less complicated and more focussed on serious issues as opposed to Tik Tok or Instagram and if we don't think we've lost something we're crazy...but if we think it's coming back anytime soon then we are complete fools. Michael Keaton in a scene from 'Birdman' is here due to his brilliant acting abilities as well - his brilliant turn in Ron Howard's 'Night Shift' showed the world what they could expect from this gifted actor...we're all getting older with every day...we got memories but they fade just like pictures in an album so live for today and make that count as it's really the only thing anyone has...Coldplay is on in the background on our smart TV sound bar...when did the stereo disappear...it's 'the scientist' and man, that's a sad song...lol! can you still recall in the juke box hall when the music played and the world spun round to a brand new sound in those far off days.. in their blue suede shoes they would scream and shout as they sang the blues, let it all hang out.. rock and roll...

Story behind the song
Bruce and myself have always had a fascination with bubble-gum music but for me it peaked late last year with the passing of Bobby Hart...always loved The Monkees (Bruce dug Mike Nesmith, myself Mickey Dolenz) - the style and genre of that band's music was of course crafted and cultivated by Boyce & Hart (along with a couple of others...Neil Diamond, wow!) We posted a RIP for Bobby Hart and Tony (from SC) commented on 'I wonder' as a joke at end of his reply...that lead to myself revisiting a track I hadn't heard in a while...dig Bobby, dig Tony, dig Tommy! If you listen closely toward end you'll hear my dog barking several times...such a musical talent Louie is...lol!
Lyrics
If I had told her that I loved her She would have stayed till who knows when But I guess she couldn't understand it When I said, "I want to be your friend" Because a friend would never doubt you Or ever put you uptight And now I wonder what she's doing tonight I wonder what she's doing tonight I wonder what she's doing tonight Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah Ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah, ah We were so close but we should've been closer And it's makin' me feel so sad But I tell myself I didn't loose her 'Cause you can't loose a friend You never had (Come on now) 'Cause a friend won't say it's over And go out just for spite And now I wonder what she's doing tonight. I wonder what she's doing tonight I wonder what she's doing tonight 'Cause a friend will always be there If you're wrong or if you're right And now I wonder what she's doing tonight I wonder what she's doing tonight Oh I wonder what she's doing tonight Sha, la, la, la, la Sha, la, la, la, la
