all synth track from us here with homage to a great outfit that really found it's stride by successfully leaving the 80's & making it big in the US in 90's, not easy to do, just ask INXS...
synth pop depeche cover schneider
some people get by with a little understanding, some people get by with a whole lot more..
Think back to when Bon Scott played his last gig with AC/DC (it’s actually this day 27.01) back in 1980 before he would succumb to an untimely death due to misadventure and remember how the world seemed less complicated and more focussed on serious issues as opposed to Tik Tok or Instagram and if we don't think we've lost something we're crazy...but if we think it's coming back anytime soon then we are complete fools. Michael Keaton in a scene from 'Birdman' is here due to his brilliant acting abilities as well as the late great John Belushi...dig Mike & John, supreme talents for sure! can you still recall in the juke box hall when the music played and the world spun round to a brand new sound in those far off days.. in their blue suede shoes they would scream and shout as they sang the blues, let it all hang out.. rock and roll...

Story behind the song
DM released Personal Jesus in 1989...they'd been big in our country but that was earlier in the piece and this didn't even chart...however, as their star was waning here they were gaining amazing success on the college radio charts in the US and really were a massive outfit there for several years...we'd followed them from their Vince Clarke days and Martin Gore and Dave Gahan are synth pop royalty to us. Love DM, love the 80's!
Lyrics
Reach out and touch faith Your own personal Jesus Someone to hear your prayers Someone who cares Your own personal Jesus Someone to hear your prayers Someone who cares... Feeling unknown and you're all alone Flesh and bone by the telephone Lift up the receiver, I'll make you a believer Take second best, put me to the test Things on your chest, you need to confess I will deliver, you know I'm a forgiver Reach out and touch faith Reach out and touch faith Your own personal Jesus Someone to hear your prayers Someone who cares Your own personal Jesus Someone to hear your prayers Someone who's there Feeling unknown and you're all alone Flesh and bone by the telephone Lift up the receiver, I'll make you a believer I will deliver, you know I'm a forgiver Reach out and touch faith Your own... Reach out and touch faith Reach out and touch faith

Oh yeah I remember this well. You have done a great job on this. Immediately identifiable. Also with putting your own stamp on it. Great use of effects very cool indeed!

I worked with a guy who was a massive Depeche Mode fan. He lent me a few of there CDs, because I 'd no idea what they were like. I was incredibly impressed by what I heard. This is a great song, and one which I remember well. Your version is great, as it totally captures the whole vibe of the original.

I like the way you have stayed quite close to the original, maintaining the essence & vibe, especially in the vocals. Great job!

Never heard song or band. But this is very catchy and excellent performance and production. Vocals working very well. And at 330 am you had thinking I called someone. Nice !!
