Major Snagg is the invented name of the 'band' that perform all my own musical creations. (songs and instrumentals). I play guitars, bass, rudimentary keyboards, harmonica, and sing. Melody has always been important to me... lyrics and guitar solos have to say or communicate something. I create musical worlds that I hope that you dear listener, will also want to explore and live in for a few moments...or longer if you feel that way inclined.

Lyrics
Danger At The Heart Of The Empire David A Briggs (c) 2023 There's danger, at the heart of the empire. There's a stranger, behind each door. Hollow men, with turned-up collars, leave 'devices', underneath my floor. Dark angels, plot to change the system, their patience is wearing thin. A foggy night and the lamp on the corner. Is there someone there? I just can't tell. Across the street in a dark old building is a mad-man in a padded cell. Dark angels, work to change the system, their patience is wearing thin. Other worlds under and above us. Time-lines merge, at the mirror's edge. Don't despair, help is coming, don't check-out, don't leap off that ledge. guitar solo: There's danger, at the heart of the empire. There's a stranger, behind each door. There's danger, at the heart of the empire. There's a stranger, knocking on my door. There's danger, at the heart of the empire. There's a stranger, behind each door. ad-lib ending

This came on and had to stay and listen it grabbed me right away. I see rodz mentioned the doors vibe and I get that too. And of course I love Sherlock so that is a brilliant idea for a song very creative thinking. Not sure I would have ever thought of that. A complete hit song.

Wow this is a great song! Maybe your best yet. Love everything about this - the moody vibe, the chords, guitar tones, vocals, lyrics, the whole lot really. Fantastic stuff!

Very evocative lyrics, strong drum sound and groove. Very loose but it fits the theme and the idea. Well done all 'round, I like it!

This reminds me of some Kinks sounds I've liked. I like how the reverb/delay trails off almost like a crossfade. Very cool, David!

Magnificent, Watson. Keep that thing loaded. I keep myself loaded, and it works for me. We may have to scuff up a knuckle or two rounding up this evil bugger. It's not as bad as we feared. No, it's actually worse. Nothing we can't handle, so the good book tells us. Look who's the Guitar Hero now. I literally can go swimming in your guitar solo. Love the odd cowbell as well. You should see the bloody cow and that comes with it. Oh of course I've seen it. It shops across the street from me at, whatever and a half street... wears a lovely purple hat. Matches it's complexion. "I've never seen a purple cow, I hope to never see one, but I can tell you anyhow, I'd rather see than be one. And I was, I doubt I'd tell anyone. Watson old man, stop taking notes. I find that offensive. Remember. Write it down later. -S. Holmes
