A wonderful blend of smooth jazz, funk, dance and world music centralized through the piano, acoustic guitar and the occasional synth lead..
ALL of the compositions you hear here start with one simple truth - without God, I could do nothing but because of HIM, all this is possible!
Each and every effort is a serenade to Him, as I owe Him every song.
Over the years, I've learned new things about song composition and have always been willing to push the boundaries of sound. I was trained as a musician and recording engineer as a child, learning to put together melodies when I was only 7 years old. This was at the height of jazz fusion where lead instrumental improvisation was king. Although I was trained early on to read and write sheet music, this improvisation has shaped my writing. Now, I write from my heart.
The songs represented here are the culmination of my ventures. Each new song is a lesson in itself as I am a never ending student of music, sound and the new and emerging recording processes. As you listen, keep in mind these are my intimate conversations with God. My conversations are sometimes upbeat, sometimes somber, but never boring. In all, I share these songs so that you may enjoy the music.

I really like the combinations of instruments you include in your music--very different, but work sooo well together. They make for very enjoyable listens! This is another wonderful tune...and a delight to add to my station. :)

An enchanting classical guitar intro with an intricate yet very catchy central melody. I marveled at the way the piano picks up the melody from the guitar and then executes exquisite improvisational variation of that theme. Superb use of noise effects as sweeteners along with the string arrangement. I like the way the crash cymbal hit every 8th measure accenting the verse. Of course another standout for me is the choir in its entire haunting splendor. A silky smooth production makes this another spectacular track by Mr. Grant

I like this... The guitar melody, and ethnic percussion definitely provide the "World" foundation with undeniable "Grant" signature touch and style. Love the breakdown @ 2:11 with the noise effects, and I especially enjoyed the string work introduced in this section as well... from there it continues to morph and envelope the listener in a world of rhythmic serenity... nice work my friend...
