IN THE 60's I WAS A DRUMMER IN ' THE EMANONS ' WE PLAYED, ROCK N ROLL, AND R&B. NOW MOST OF MY MUSIC IS WRITTEN AND RECORDED IN MY HOME STUDIO! (MY BIO IS AT, Welcome to my music site. Jon Schmidt is a New Age and Jazz pianist with Classical training, making his compositions difficult to categorize into one ... or even two ... genres of music.
My music is a collage of world themes and sounds. It is often peaceful and it sounds like it would belong in a movie soundtrack. I was born in Logan Utah. When I was three my family moved to Olympia Washington. My parents introduced me to their antique upright piano when I was five years old, and my love for the piano began. When I was ten my parents separated and I moved to Seattle, Washington with my mother and away from the piano. The next year I was given my first keyboard and I began to
