Martin van de Vrugt: Since 1980 I am writing and playing my own songs. I am a singer and I play on several mostly acoustic guitars and other string-instuments like banjo, mandoline and bass. I am also a harmonica player. In the early eighties I started playing as a streetartist in major dutch cities.
Learned a lot that way... These days my shows are very emotionally dynamic and people are often very moved after listening to my songs. Alone is just alone so often I join mostly the stage and somtimes my studio with other singer/songwriters like Jessica Kilroy, Karyn Oliver, Shane Alexander(USA) or Emma Black(UK) and Kenna & Cox(AUS,France). Since 2012 I joined the Martin Korthuis Band after I produced their succesful album "Geluk" in my own recording-studio where I can work when-ever I like to. Other artists have already found my studio too. I have made some very inspired cd's as a solo artist and for several other great Dutch artists and bands.

Hello, my dear friend. I have uploaded my own version of "The Water Is Wide", sung by my friend Hilde Myran. My friend Kjetil Veum, playing drums (brushes) while I arranged the song and play the other instruments. Hope you'll stop by and listen to it. Hilde sings really nice.
