Retired textile worker.
Work in a die cast plant. Work on week ends at a Grist mill. Pick and grin when I can. I don't think anyone knows how many generations of violin makers there are in my family. I can only confirm five going back to the 1830's. They were in the society of Friends Church from England and settled in the Yadkin River valley of North Carolina in 1735. In England at that time period it was illegal to make violins, so they called themselves keeper of the Devils Instrument. My blood is made from violin varnish and pine rosin. Winner of the 2010 Jean Laney Harris Folk Heritage Award. Don't no what to do with it, but it looks great on the wall.

Glad to hear you are still alive and well...and still making instruments. Great that you are gettin' together for a weekly jam session too..sure wish i was. Just none of that happening around here that i know of. Most of my old bandmates have either passed, moved off, or given up playing. Things are good here tho for the most part other than some physical issues that are compromising my lifestyle. Wet and cool summer... garden is in low gear. Taking Life one day at a time. Hope your summer goes well my friend. We gotta enjoy it all while we still can... PS...this site is working fine on my end. I suggest you contact the admin for help..they're great about that.

hey Wooly...where ya been? Did ya get tired of retirement and go on a world cruise? This place sure isn't as much fun as it once was...at least for me. Maybe it would help if i wrote some new songs. These days i'm just workin' the farm, taking it one day at a time. What ya been up to? Hear from kevin much?

hey Wooly...Good to hear from ya and glad you're ok. We ain't spring chickens. Cool that you are starting on a new project. Hope you take pics as i love watching a master at work in his shop. As for your PC, that's par for the course. They don't last. My main issue of late is our internet service. Comes and goes like the wind...Verizon says they're "workin' on it".... Hello to the Mrs and hope your Winter is goin' well.
