My name is Karen Dinardo. I am a singer/songwriter/recording engineer who writes in a variety of genres... I guess this is where the gypsy comes out in me! I was lucky enough to be mentored by world renowned producer/engineer Nick Blagona (Tea Party, Cat Stevens, Deep Purple....), I was quick to pick up on exclusive tricks of the trade that might set me apart from other engineers. I have been very lucky to work with many fantastic musicians. I've had vocal training with Elaine Overholt who recently appeared on the Elen Degeneres show.
On this project I have colaborated with RICHARD FORTIN. While I write the lyrics, engineer/edit/Sample, Co-produce and sing, Richard, who is a hugely talented guitar player also is the composer/arranger/producer. A Juno/Gemini nominee, he is a recipient of 2 Gold albums from Sony and Universal as well as 4 awards from the U.S. for his music for films. He has worked with internationally acclaimed musicians such as Michael Kamen, David Gilmour of Pink Floyd, Chet Atkins, Zamfir, Ray Cooper (percussionist for Madonna) and Alex Lifeson (Rush). He also worked on the album Persona featuring Eric Clapton and Yo Yo Ma. He produced Liona Boyd (Camino Latino), Patricia OCallaghan and Elaine Overholt who was vocal coach for Richard Gere and Renee Zellweiger in Chicago.
