My name is Chris Mahon, and I have been playing and recording music most of my life. I have played guitar, bass and drums in a number of rock and blues bands, but I am now focusing my energies on writing, performing and producing a new batch of songs, each one a unique expression of my musical interests and influences.
I was born and bred in the US, but now live and work in the UK. I think you'll find that the musical bridge between the two countries historically is exactly where my music lives!

I hope you find something to enjoy there. In any case, feel free to drop me a line or give me a shout out about your music. I love to listen as well!
All the best,
Chris

Let's Talk Music and Recording!

Hey everybody, just thought I'd get things started with a general discussion about recording. How many of you have a home studio? What gear are you using? Mac or PC? Amp modelling or the real thing? Live drums or loops and samples? I have converted my spare bedroom into a studio, much to my wife's delight. I am running Cubase on an iMac, and I record live guitar when I can but mostly use a Pod XT Pro for guitar sounds. Lately I've been learning how to record acoustics though. Not as easy as I thought... What about you all? Let me have it! Cheers, Chris

Hey Chris,
Greetings from across the Dove!
Some really great stuf on your music page - I especially liked (I won't) Run Away which I've nicked for my station and iPod. I'll be back to listen to more.

Thanks for calling by Chris, and I'm glad you did, as it brought me back to listen through some of your songs again, including the new one.
Can't get over how cool your vocals are, (some of the best I've heard in years on the net) and the songs are superb and well produced. (my favs are "Madness" "Song for Sharron" and "Love you more")
Any chance of the lyrics being posted? I get more out of listening that way.
All the best for 2009,
Carol.x

Hi Chris,
Was lookin for some new blues tunes to enjoy and came across your song....Tell Your Mama....excellent, love the sound you have on guitar on that track, and you have a very unique voice, great song, had to add it to my blues station!
I'm also enjoying your song....And Then I Lost You....I am an acoustic guitar person at heart, is the type of music I write and play nowdays. I really like the vocals, and harmonies you have on this song, nice sound and production. You really can play any genre of music and sound great. Give a listen to a tune of mine if you ever get the time and leave me your opinions if ya like. Take care and keep on keepin' On!
