Hey Heath ! Heard both these new tracks.. 'Make me Blue' and 'I'll Get to Heaven'.. In fact both are good but I specially liked 'I'll get to Heaven'.. :-)
I think a lil' percussions would add more spice to this track.. the melody is good , guitar's doing well.. vocals are good too.. ;-)
Great Job over all...!
Cheers ! :-)

Thanx for your comments about Jam for Bread & Butter.. It was fun playing playing track.. and it's a complete improvisation.. Had never decided a single line except the main lead.. lolz :-)
Have you done something new in these days ? I'm soon gonna bring a Jazz Rock track, which is actually experimental.. Hope it you'd like it.. ;-)

I peeped both "Make Me Blue" and "Make Me Blue (Acoustic Live Studio)". Here's my review for both tracks:
"Make Me Blue" (6/10)
I don't know why you claimed your studio equipment was limited and that your quality was awful. This track was nice. The only problem I had with it was that it was short and that you'd sing for a couple of seconds and suddenly go back to singing, "Make me blue". Nice song, though. The guitar in it was okay, voice went nicely with the beat, and lyrics were alright. Nothing too big to complain about. It was too short, though.
"Make Me Blue (Acoustic Live Studio)" (4/10)
Hmm.. this was longer than the actual version of the song. Of course, it was sort of odd because your voice was lower. I can understand that this was live and all, but what was the point of putting this up? Good job with it, though. Sounded like you were performing on stage. The guitar sounded a bit off here this time around or maybe I'm just listening to it with less confidence that it's

Hi Heath,
Self TOrt here. I've just posted a review of "Make Me Blue" on my review thread. I noted your comments about limitation of equipment etc. There's a software program that I use for songwriting called "Band In a Box". I've used it for getting the format and general feel for most tracks that I've written. It's very simple and once you've completed a song you can convert it to midi and then play around with it further in a sequencing program. Fortunately, the guy who produces my stuff is a former drummer and he can tweak the drum parts so that they almost sound human. I've no commercial involvement with the package...I just use it. If you're interested, get back to me and I'll give you the details.
Cheers

Discordia. I don't know why I was drawn to follow the link in your request for a review in the review forum because I've never done it before. Didn't really want to listen to your stuff but for some reason I wanted to listen to your stuff. I'm very glad that I did. When I make this next statement please believe that I am telling you what I truely feel. You should be making millions of dollars and a household name in america. You have a unique sound that I believe can tap into the musical memory of everyone. Your voice has a carry that is remenicent to so many of the great Frontmen in music. It's not the sound of your voice that is remenicent but the way that it can immediately set itself apart from anyone elses voice. I've listened to a couple songs and it's already engrained in my mind. Your music writing is wonderfull and truely, along with your voice and lyrics makes you a uniquely genreless original artist. Ok that's enought. I really like your style.

Hi and many many thanx for your review of my track dance of the killer goldfish. I just got back from a real sh***ty couple pf days away at work and it's good to come home to a cool review, I appreciate it. I took a listen to some of your music. I'm not as adept at reviewing as you, but I really liked your stuff. in particular the clean guitar tone on Blue shies, and the vocal sounds on Downsville. I liked blue skies best, its pretty catchy and would appeal to many people as it trancends several genres. Thanks again,
Cheers
Rolf.

Great stuff. Inventive and melodic. My favorite is definately Downsville, but all the songs work for me. You really have a mastery of sonic space; the music is full and developed, but the sound is not cluttered or oppressive. Wonderful lyrics too.

Hi Heath, finally found a little time to come check out your page :). I really dig "Blue Skies", very cool vibe there! I can really hear your Beatle influence throughout all your songs, not that they sound derivative they just kinda capture that whole feeling!! Very cool stuff indeed!

Blue Skies has got a real Harrisonesque sound profile to it. Nice upbeat melody with a lilting and laid back vocal sway.
Ruby Stars At first the guitar tone made me think of Hendrix ala Third Stone From The Sun but then your voice brings me right back to Lennon or Harrison. Very good compositional structure and this song sets a contemplative mood that is quite nice.
Cardboard Jesus guitar mix is totally cool except for the beginning lead line which just sounds out of place (or maybe out of tune) to me. The structure and build of this song has a very, very cool sound even if at some points, like the lead break when the flow is not followed, it's dreamy and flowing sound brings you back again. The sigh at the beginning is classic!
Downsville... I have to say this song is so cool!! I love it! Gawd if you got the music to pro quality this could really be a hit! Holy crap you have captured the trapped small town flap perfectly!
Great work! I can tell you're a genius!

Hi Heath,
Finally got round to listening to you. I must say that Ruby Stars was my favourite. Simple, but effective chours. You voice reminds me of John Lennon, it has quite a haunting edge to it, also liked the vocal effects in the chours. Thanks, again for your kind words about my stuff.

Hi Heath,
all very interesting stuff. My personal favourite is Blue skies.
Keep it up.
OMG, this is such beautiful song, don't know how I found your songs, but what a find. I'm a big John Lennon fan, and this song makes me think of him so much, can really hear your influence of him here. Your voice sounds like Lennon on the high parts....and then I almost hear George Harrison in your voice on the verses (lower parts). Sweet guitar playing, whole production is so simple but....very awesome and soulful song. Thanks for sharing your talent here....5 stars all the way! ;) ~strummergurl~
