At the moment the band is me on vocals, guitars, bass, keyboards, drums and harmonica......
Started playing guitar in the 70's as a teenager. Took it up seriously in '04 in my forties. Started fooling around with keyboards at the same time, and took up bass a year or so later. Been writing songs for many years - then I discovered the Sunday Songwriter's Group at Guitarnoise.com and trying to write a weekly song around a given theme has given me the kick in the backside I needed, both writing and playing.
I used to play every tuesday, an acoustic jam in a local pub. Haven't been for a while, I need to get out in the world again instead of slaving over a hot microphone.
Beatles,Stones,Who,Dylan,CCR,Mott,T.Rex,LedZep, Nazareth,Lou Reed,Motown/Stax/Atlantic(60's soul) and recently Blues and a little country.
Fender Telecaster, Squier Custom Telecaster (for slide,) SPT Acoustic, Yamaha PSS-480 Keyboard, Hohner Blues Harps, 30W Roland Cube amp, Audacity for recording.
My music is mostly rock music driven by heavy acoustic rhythms....draws on a lot of influences...my songwriting is probably my strongest point at the moment. I just need to translate the music in my head to my fingers....
