The Unknown is mostly a concept artist name. The music was programmed and performed by Scott Todd, with Stuart Rinehart performing saxophone on 2 cuts. It is an instrumental concept CD written over the period from 1986 to 1991, and released about 1992. I also have Rock tunes over at this page:

Allan Holdworth, Jean Luc Ponty, Dixie Dregs, and artists in that vein. Also all the rock stuff like Rush and Zeppelin.
This CD was cut on a Fostex Model 80 8-track on 1/4" tape, sync locked to an Alesis MMT8 sequencer and HR-16 drum machine. It was mixed through an Alesis 1622 mixer, with a minimum of effects.
