Band/artist history
Many years ago, before plants invaded the land, Jay Seeley staggered from the radioactive wastelands of southeastern Idaho with a ukelele in his hand and a head full of uncensored inspiration. He roamed from one exotic locale to another; from Kobe, Japan to Elko, Nevada. One day, after visiting a strip mall in Omaha, Nebraska, Jay snapped. He began to write songs about love, sex, dissipation, and anything else that popped into his martini-addled brain. He has been performing as a solo acoustic act for five years, amusing audiences with a unique style of flashy nukulele, sharp lyrics, and off-beat humor. Jay now lives in Eugene, Oregon, where he entertains the locals with his special blend of dark roasted pop music.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
I play out, but not often. If you have the chance to see one of my shows, do not miss it. My shows are performance pieces, not just songs.
Your musical influences
The Magnetic Fields, Underworld, and Mouse on Mars.
What equipment do you use?
I record at home. My studio is called Unstable Table.
Anything else?
Chicks dig the Ukulele Martini Hour!
