Stockwrock
baby you're a rich man baby you're a rich man
the grun came through big time on this classic beatle's song.
keep on smilin' keep on smilin'
original song by TR, performed by a hired hand in nashville.
atomic new year atomic new year
got in the mood to play something on my alto, and mess around with oddball timing. i kinda like it. hope you do, too.
if i fell if i fell
another beautiful, simple song by the beatles. for this one, i used an alto and tenor sax to cover paul and john's harmony vocal parts, double tracked 12 string, a pair of electric guitar tracks, plus paul's bass line straight off the record.
carpe diem symphony carpe diem symphony
in this modern symphonic composition, i attempted to make better use of dynamics, and included several time signature changes. enjoy!
space guitar blues space guitar blues
pretty straightforward blues progression, slathered with verb, delay, etc.
mellow sunday morning mellow sunday morning
this song may help you catch up on your sleep. mellow enough to keep both cat and dog lovers happy.
monkey man monkey man
here's my take on another stones song. i think this one came out pretty damn good.
gimme shelter ala stockwrock gimme shelter ala stockwrock
here's my take on one of my favorite songs by the rollings stones, "gimme shelter." once again, i have substituted the vocal with my sax. a double-tracked 12-sting is also prominent in the mix.
NSAI made a serial killer out of me NSAI made a serial killer out of me
this song was inspired after i received some harsh criticism from a few so-called songwriting pros at NSAI.
swingin' session swingin' session
and now for something completely different -- here's a taste of some swinging big-band style music. i particularly like the way the bass solo turned out on this one.
and i love her and i love her
another beautiful song by the fab four. all of the beatles had a lot to contribute to this one. in lieu of singing, i'm playing the lead on sax.
she said (beatles collage) she said (beatles collage)
with so many beatles tunes echoing in my brain, i found myself adding several tidbits to this cover of their song "she said." see how many other songs you discover as you listen.
sympathetic synthony sympathetic synthony
since i delved into the world of computerized, digital music recording about 2 years ago, i have amassed what probably amounts to tens of thousands of sound possibilities. usually, i strive to emulate the authentic recreations of traditional instrum
BADGE BADGE
one of my favorite cream songs, co-written by george harrison and eric clapton. i tried to stay true to the original, albeit using guitar to cover the melody rather than sing it. also featured is a double-miced 12-string which sounds great.
funky fourth funky fourth
i started recording a funky guitar lick a couple of weeks ago, and finished it off with some horns on the 4th of July.
gimme some loving gimme some loving
lots going on in this cover of one of my old time favorites, featuring a prominent B3 organ, and as per my usual approach, tenor sax covering the vocal melody.
