MTV'S TRUE LIFE RAPPER THAT GOT A DIVORCE...AKA- THE MOUTH OF THE SOUTH!!
My name is Slim JG and I was born in Miami.
I’m 29 years old and many people think my style is bold.
I’m often told that I’m unique and yes you can hear it when I speak.
It all started when I was fourteen, I was just an innocent human being.
Then I started a rap group called, “The Rap Duo.”
For the next three years to follow, all I did was write rhymes that flow.
After I graduated from high school, “The Rap Duo” split up.
It was all due to the fact that I screwed up, got kicked out of my house at 17 and moved to Gainesville to develop.
I graduated high school, earned my BA in Criminology, with a minor in Psychology.
After I finished college, I moved back to Miami.
That’s when I remembered my flows lyrically.
However, I went and got my real estate license.
Then my mind was filled with ambivalence.
I always knew I had a flair for writing.
But now that I am doing something with it, I find it exciting.
I must admit that there is one thing that motivated me to record my songs.
Plain and simple- There was a man in my life that didn’t belong.
You can hear by the sound of my raps,
that I always come close to getting into scraps.
I have been through hell and back, but I don’t consider myself a maniac.
I just have been through so much drama and feel like I can write an encyclopedia.
This is why I now am making beats, writing and spittin my lyrical rhymes.
I want to vent about what happened to me over time.
I know for a fact that I would add to the diversity of the recording industry.
See now, my rhymes flow, however, they will need a parental advisory.
I LOVE TO PERFORM LIVE. I play live in Miami, L.A., NYC, & other various cities. My favorite moment is at the end, when I receive a standing ovation. ;)
My main musical influence is Eminem. There are numerous other musical influences, such as: Wu-Tang, Dr. Dre, Mobb Deep, D-12, 2Pac, Nas, Snoop Dogg, Outkast, Busta Rhymes, Linkin Park, Kid Rock, Limp Bizkit, 311, No Doubt and Pink Floyd. I love all kinds of music, but my favorite is rap/ hip-hop.
