I am a singer/songwriter who has been writing for about 2 years now and have had some wonderful encouragement from an A&R rep from Curb records as well as a few Indie reps. I have been hoping someday to have a song of mine cut and while working on that have been motivated to sing them myself. I love writing and singing and recently have been working on a duo act called, "Beaucoup Baby". I met the love of my life through my songwriting adventure and we have teamed up to start gigging. We are looking into future band members and have just finished two CD's, one is a solo effort and the other a collaboration with Charles Bernier. The wonderful reason for my new name change and my courage to go after my dreams.Have you performed in front of an audience?I have recently gotten my feet wet in this area and in spite of the nerves kicking in I had a wonderful time. Fortunately the nervousness doesn't last very long and am working on a duo that will be gigging very soon. Probably the toughest performance was for my family who had never heard me sing before. The surprise on their faces was worth the butterflies. They were thrilled with what they heard and the biggest skeptic of the group said he thought I had a great and unique voice that could make it! But what does he know? LOL!
Your musical influences
I love the modern country sounds coming out of Nashville right now. Im a little more alternative country than traditional and I still love Matchbox 20 and Creed! I write alot of ballads which depending on the musical backing can pretty much go anywhere. But my heart is in Nashville!Anything else?
Am open to collaboration and just seeking a way to get heard! Would love to hear one of my songs on the radio one day. Even better if Im singing them! (wink!)
