The Day Of The Great / The Leidenfrost Effect

Destructive but intriguing, grinding and powerful. This is what
Scrongo
is all about. THE DAY OF THE GREAT is a shortened and reworked version
of
he’s previous tape titled THE DAY OF THE GREAT-THE GREAT OF THE DAY.
The
music it’s extreme starting since the titles: Gulo Gulo, Chancre 1,
Kaposi’s Sarcoma Lesions, Mucus, Messias Massaker, Insanityline,
Chancre 2
and Greedclick. Each track is composed by different treated sounds as
voice, percussions, etc. and each of them is tore, brutalised and
psychedelic treated. The sensation of some threat incoming is really
vivid
and concrete. The Scrongo sounds it’s something between the sounds of
an
industry and the noise of hell. Just listen to Messias Massaker
(practically take the “Alleluia” and add to it God know what kind of
noise
It’s like a Vatican car crash!) and you can make an opinion of your
own.
Also on the live CD titled THE LEIDENFROST EFFECT and recorded in 1998
on
his home city Göteborg Scrongo attack the audience with eight
improvised
movements of distorted noises and loops where tracks as the second one
remember me the Non tracks of his live album titled “Physical
Evidence”.
With a bit less of improvisation Anders could make of his project one
of
the most authoritative noise act of Sweden.

Visst, jag skulle sannolikt,i likhet med överambitiösa kulturskribenter kunna göra en djupanalys av scrongos demo och hitta allt från "apokalyptiska stämmningar som berättar mycket om vår tids rädsla för allvar" till "intressanta ljudkollage", cutupteknikens under". Men då skulle jag sitta med skägget i brevlådan när det visar sig att demon är gjord av en stenad orangutang som tryckt på random noise knappen.
Därför säger jag inte mer än att scrongo gör fullständigt olyssningsbart oljud. Distat och överjävligt.
Det blir en etta, och efter att ha genomlidit demon tror jag inte scrongo blir särskillt ledsen. Han måste liksom ha haft det på känn, eller?

.. En kille på ett svenskt skivbolag berättade för mig att de har en "alla
dessa dårar -låda". En kartong där kassetter från obegåvade oduglingar
och allehanda tokstollar hamnar. Jag tyckte det var så fantastiskt med en
sådan låda att jag fixade en själv och först att hamna där är det
mentalsjuka projektet SCRONGO. (så "Jävla hårda" tyckte föresten
Mattias, märkligt hans kassetter visade annars prov på en nästan
exemplarisk musiksmak..)

MERZBOW att framstå som den vänaste melodiösa orkester- typ snälla
myspojkar som Bright Eyes hyllar. Scrongos infantila skrän är en skymf

Scrongo started as a sideproject back in late 1995. I kept acitivity til 2002. And now Im about to start noiseing again. I released about ten titles, tapes and cds. Each one consisting of 60-90 minutes of mainly very monotonous noise.
I also contributed with noise to the MZ 412-Legion Ultra Ep. (Cold Meat Industry)Have you performed in front of an audience?Sometimes.
