Psicosis was created in venezuela in 1999 as first born project of Mick Demon and Alex Warlock
after the split of thir former band called Catastrofe, they changed the style their practiced as catastrofe
thata was basically black metal with keyboards and they started to explore their death metal side, adding melodies
and armonies but keeping their raw and wild sound.
They recruited their lead guitarist Leonardo Valiente (also ex Catastrofe) for their style changing purposes,
then they openes auditions to find the right man behind the bass guitar, after 6months and 12 bass player candidates
they recruited Johny Zerpa as the official fourth member.After months of hard work these 4 characters find their alchemy as
a band and they become obssesed with their project and now its their true passion.
Their influences rank among the old school stuff made by bands like Death, Emperor, Morbid Angel, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden
and many others like the NWOBHM bands and ven thrash metal bands
Their first ep was recorded and self produced at their home studio between March and July 2002 and it is entitled
"Trail of Sculptures".
In March 2003 they recorded their first full lenght entitled "The Sound of the Leaves" again under their own production, this is an almost conceptual album.

About the bands music..............
From the very beginning wed let our feelings flow to give some textures to our compositions and last but not least to
gain an authentic sound and make some innovations avoiding any cliche or prefabricated formula, as time passed our sound
suffered a serious evolution until we found our essence and we deal with it, once we mixed the final musical product with
our lyrics we obtain the sound the band has right now.
Our music is a reflection and it expresses our sympathy for the obssesive topics, we compare it with the Phoenix Bird
concept because he is always prepared to fight against the adversity with an optimistic position.it also illustrates the
things we can not see but undoubtely we can feel.
About the bands lyrics..................
Our lyrics re very spritually charged, involving our dark and hidden thoughts with a strong pessimistic nature that sometimes
turn into hope and positiveness, they have a strong nexus with the music to create a very personal enviroment, dark and mistic
that may turn into complete stories, but letting the listener to give a free intrepretation of what they hear and what they feel
with this lyrics. the new lyrics show a growing process into a conceptual field without losing the adequete dose of agression
that is an earmark of our band.
Our Musical Influences are Bands Like; Death, Emperor, Morbid Angel, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Vader, Etc....Bands from the Old School!!!
