the old Hall & Oates number...loved that period in time - seventies...getting way too nostalgic, lol! this is our version of it :)
power pop cover schneider
some people get by with a little understanding, some people get by with a whole lot more..
think back to when the Rubettes smashed onto the scene with 'Sugar Baby Love' and pop music would never be the same again, kind of like an open invitation for ABBA to have it's wicked way...plus how the world seemed less complicated and more focussed on serious issues as opposed to Tik Tok or Instagram and if we don't think we've lost something we're crazy...but if we think it's coming back anytime soon then we are complete fools. Michael Keaton in a scene from 'Birdman' is here due to his brilliant acting abilities as well as the late great John Belushi...dig Mike & John, supreme talents for sure! can you still recall in the juke box hall when the music played and the world spun round to a brand new sound in those far off days.. in their blue suede shoes they would scream and shout as they sang the blues, let it all hang out.. rock and roll...

Story behind the song
this was not an easy song to do...it sounds easy when you hear Darryl Hall singing it on the radio...but...it's not...lol! I've called this the resurrection mix as I was so close to binning it (some of you will think I still should...lol haha!) We've gone for our version which is different to H&O but it still has a feel (hopefully) which harkens back to 1977...
Lyrics

Very ambitious cover. Really like your take on this. And goes without saying it’s a bitcj to try and go into the stratosphere with Daryl.
