Jimmy Barnes wrote and released this track in 1984 with Bob Clearmountain (the 'go to' producer) doing his magic on it for a 1985 US release - one of our fave Barnsey tracks of all time and cool to have chance to cover it with the fellas!

think back to when Gary Numan wrote and recorded 'Cars' in 1979 and if we don't think we've lost something we're crazy...but if we think it's coming back anytime soon then we are complete fools... can you still recall in the juke box hall when the music played and the world spun round to a brand new sound in those far off days.. in their blue suede shoes they would scream and shout as they sang the blues, let it all hang out.. rock and roll..

Story behind the song
really wanted to do a cover of this iconic AUS rock song by Jimmy Barnes (rock god to all of here down under) - it's a powerful track about getting back in the ring and trying again. I'd blast the neighbours out with this at full tilt on my Marantz sound system back in the day. Dig Jimmy and Dig Bob C as he ushered in a new sound with his brilliant production and engineering skills.

Have to admit I haven’t heard this before but what a great sound. Really cool 80s vibe song. And those keys are sublime.

Never heard of this original artist. But I hear why you liked them. Great 80s piece. Excellent musicianship performance and production. Love the keys.
