I'm all over the neck on this one, but I know it was capoed. I'm an avid Shubb Capo user. Leads were done on a Cordoba FCWE nylon string.

Story behind the song
I think all songwriters have to write a song every 20 years or so to try and explain themselves. This song is a metaphoric memoir with songs being my children. "Children gather at the strings" Admittedly 500 kids is a lot of kids and my flesh and blood kids come first at least most of the time. But there's still that drive to keep creating...
Lyrics
1. Where does it all end, what does it matter When were all dusty like a pile of yellowed papers Trying negotiate, an compromise That makes sense of living, and extends past infinite life The children gather at the strings Some have as much life as flesh and bone A time and a place and an emotional glimpse A memoir composed, with life of its own 2. I am, I was, I was made and will expire If there was no music, I could not survive I don't try and change eternity And I don't need the answers to why? 3. All things are under perpetual change We live out loud, or die a bit every day It doesn't matter, where we thing we're going As long as we keep moving forward 4. Does it matter where you've been or who you used to be Riding past glories, into some virtual sunset It's really not a matter of relevance When the mysteries are unconcealed 5. The hands may be gnarled and the lines deeply drawn By the weather of a well fought life Though it might not be as fast as it used to be The blood still rises and the bark still can bite 6. The fluff & stuff that dreams are made of Has nothing to do with the point of creation The constant of learning from past mistakes Self absorption and eventual revelation
