Story behind the song
This makes the second song I've written about the Bush family. I wrote IRS Taxmen concerning Reagan and Bush I's illegal wars and tax hikes, with an appropriate comment on the lottery system. We Have Sinned is a follow up to IRS Taxmen in that we are doing it all over again, this time with Bush II and Obomb'em. I'm not forgetting Clinton in there, either. Our government is soaked in blood at our expense and yes, we have sinned for allowing it to happen.
Lyrics
I talk about you every day - corporate slime, I even quote things that you say - in a rhyme; The way you look, the way you walk - committing crime, Is why I'm not here when you knock - ain't got the time; I could tell you why the people don't respect, But, what the heck? You would never ever realize, Your world is a lie. Red about the news today - took my time, Can't believe the things you say - you don't rhyme; You lie with that deadpan face - at times you smile, You care a less about the Human Race - Sieg Heil! I could tell you why the people don't respect, But, what the heck! You would never ever realize, Your world is a lie; There can be no popular dissent, While you're so bent; Take the world and toss it to the wind, For We Have Sinned! Yes, We Have Sinned! So we wait for World War Three - all the time, When it's really the Sixteenth - in a line; Into segments we'll be sliced - war on crime, Forced to serve the Anti-Christ - no war is mine! I could tell you why the people don't respect, But, what the heck! You would never ever realize, Your world is a lie; There can be no popular dissent, 'Cause you're so bent; Take the world and toss it to the wind, For We Have Sinned! Yes, We Have Sinned!
