Trash-pop, guitar rock and melodic miscellany.
Not so much a band as a bloke with a guitar and a laptop, The Smivets deliver a genre-bending blend of pop, rock, punk, prog and many other monosyllables.

Lyrics
You should have quit me You should have known You should have quit me woman You should have known You should have known that I was trouble That first time you took me home Preacher tell me Doctor please explain PPPreacher tell me Doctor please explain How come someone who give me so much pleasure Causes so much pain Now passion is persuasive Like a pistol to the head If we carry on together One of us gonna wind up dead You should have kicked me out You know you should But wishing we could undo what's done Don't do nobody no good Well my head tell me to leave you And my heart don't disagree Well my head tell me to leave you And my heart cannot disagree But every time I see you I come back for more sweet misery

Steve, your vocals are getting better with every new track. This is perfect. I agree with Bobby, there's a definate Steve Miller sound to your voice here. Fab guitar tone and licks. I bet you had a ball recording this too.

Steve, i always admire the way you can make this great classic rock blues with such pro sounding. You're an All Star. Killer rythmic riffs witn the crunchy dry tone and nasty solos. Fantastic singing. Fabulous

Well & truly nailed it here!! There's a definite Beatles sound in those vocals - fantastic tone, delivery and expression, brilliant retro/classic rock sound in the guitar work...reminds me a lot of guitar legend Paul Kossof (Free) in the tone/style. Yeah...love this - Free were one of my all time favourite bands!!
