Our First Lesson For Survival
dj david tansey rap consc
I'm writing/rapping the Dumpster Manifesto -- reality from a different perspective.
DJ Tansey -- Rap Entrepreneur AIM: djtansey I have been interested in Hip-Hop since 1995. My first album was Tupac Shakur's Me Against The World. I was only 11, but his music still managed to reach me. I miss rap with a message. It seems everyone is a megalomaniac. So I'm doing my own thing. Hopefully people will give a sh*t.

Story behind the song
This was my first song I ever recorded. You can hear how shaky my voice is. I loved it though. I believed in everything I was saying whole-heartedly.
Lyrics
(intro) everyone needs a mission a reason why they do what they do my mission is clear i do this for you welcome as we embark on this new era i hope my words will mean so much they'll last forever but regardless i have important stories to tell and i'll speak or say i watched as humanity, crumpled, and fell we let blind people rule us hoping that the world will change we let them fool us we need to rule us it's time for us to stop and think and stop appreciating the gorge staring, not caring, nearing the brink of our own demise sucking up the lies think it will work itself out? the truth makes me cry we need to deal with reality the world's dying need to change our suicidal mentality take a step back stop and think open our eyes or be surprised because we worshiped lies everyone dies no second try our reality, all a lie chorus: x2 { lesson number one we need to modify the way we think it's bigger than we ever thought how's it feel to be on the brink? } let's make that not happen i have faith in humanity it's not about attackin' it's about changing the way we see we're going the wrong way just take a look more people die, everyday that life we took the water getting dirtier, cause we neglect it and the problems of yesterday, we try to forget 'em the whole world's a system we can figure it out kids mightn't know what they're missing or we're talking about each and everyone of us can start today use some soap and water instead of chemical spray help a person solve a problem they're all that matters without genuine friendship our lives are scattered we can't disconnect ourselves it doesn't work that way unless we start believing this a high price we'll pay i don't want that on my head that's why i'm doing this we can step ahead if we're real and we're true to this chorus x2 tomorrow doesn't matter we'll survive fifty years from now is when we'll have to watch our beloved friends die extended forsight we've never had before seeking insight those who try i adore so let's work together if there's anything i know six billion heads are better in my life i've met many more clever. there is a solution, don't get disheartened can't let life get you with it's raggin' and it's harpin' we just have to say let's do this give it all we've got and we'll make it through this education is freedom dedication to the world just watch and you'll see our awesome power unfurled the power lies in all of us it's not so hard it's a matter of trust i know hope lay marred but now i ask the question who will think? dedicate their lives and lead us back from the brink? who can do it? i think you just dream a new reality and make it true put your mind to it there's nothing you can't do and for the future let's see it through chorus x2 outro: As I said before we all need a reason why we do what we do inside we are two people one good and one bad the evil one has now taken us if the world is only for you then your heart is weak and problems are strong if you live for good people your mother, your wife, your children, your friends if the world is for them then your heart is strong and the problems are weak
