This is a critique of those who publicly proclaim their support of some cause but can't see that their lifestyle says exactly the opposite.

Nouveau retro pop rock music: Definitely rock, fairly pop, somewhat retro, and a bit more experimental. http://www.stonemarmot.com
Our music is the result of not watching TV for over 40 straight years. That's right! The person who writes all our songs hasn't had a working television in his house since January, 1982. Scary, isn't it! That could explain the somewhat retro, rather experimental feel to the music, which has been described as sounding somewhere between Buddy Holly, The Ramones, The B-52s, and They Might Be Giants. This CD is an object lesson in how warped and depraved a television-starved mind can get. And that's not all! To make matters worse, since no self-respecting human would stoop low enough to play this stuff, he suckered four poor, innocent cartoon characters into recording his music. Cartoon characters have it tough enough as it is, with people laughing at them all the time, without having to be subjected to this! His poor, unfortunate victims, who refer to themselves collectively as Stone Marmot, are: Cindy: Guitars Sid: Keyboards, guitars, lead and backup vocals Sammy: Bass, lead and backup vocals Bruce: Percussion, backup vocals This quartet played their little paper hearts out as the ignoble fiend who created them and their music practically produced and engineered them to death. Therefore, for the sake of the cartoons, we hope you give their music a good listen and try to appreciate their tireless and selfless efforts. Please! Don't let this happen to you or someone you love! Be sure you and your loved ones receive a healthy minimum dose of television each and every day.

Story behind the song
We get irritated with people who proclaim their support for popular causes just to impress others or to make themselves feel good, but have no clue as to how their behavior is exactly opposed to the cause they claim to support. You can download this song from Apple iTunes.
Lyrics
She seems so pure and noble fighting for the manatee So smug and so self righteous, thinking that she’s better than thee But herbicides and fertilizers inundate her lawn A Superfund site if I ever saw one All so she can have a yard so enviously green Underneath her token tree Environmental poser, in your gas guzzling SUV Environmental poser, strike the pose while you hug a tree Defiant for the cameras which televise her valiant stand Against the evil forces trying to build this power plant But don’t you dare question her electric bill Her waste and gluttonous usage will Justify this plant and many more the same Hasn’t she any shame? Environmental poser, in your gas guzzling SUV Environmental poser, strike the pose while you hug a tree So blind to all the damage that your lifestyle reeks Never see you quit for green anything that’s chic I see no solar panels up upon your roof No frugal water use or any other proof That anything you do is done for more than show Or anything you say is just to let us know That you are, oh, so good and clean and caring for our healths When your actions tell us something else Environmental poser, in your gas guzzling SUV Environmental poser, strike the pose while you hug a tree Environmental poser, attention seeking hypocrite Environmental poser, your poses ain’t worth a . . .
