Story behind the song
I started writing a short story about a guy who buys a pawn shop radio and all it played were sad songs. I wrote the song instead.

Nice. This sounds like Alan Parsons decided to do a country song (compliment!). "Every note would be indelibly blue..." - what a great, great line.
