I'd like to hear this recorded in the studio. Otherwise buy a copy of Cubase, Logic and/or ProTools. Light versions do exist for most programs like Sonar or Cubase. You can buy a cheap sound card from M-Audio or Behringer. Check out Energy XT. I'd do both an unplugged & an electric version of this song. Be blessed.

Hi Thomas, Its great that you've got so much helpfull feedback, much of with I agree. If I was to say one area that would make your stuff more interesting its try a bit more variety in the guitar department. I know its hard to sing and play complex backing at the same time but too many singer songwrites realy on 'stumming' the guitar to death. Keep going you've got good tunes and commitment. Best for the horizon, Ray Last Train Band.

Hello Thomas :) I finally got by to give this a listen. I see that a lot of good advice has come your way, so I won't repete the obvious .. What I do hear is PASSION in the way you hit the strings, in the way way you reach for vocal highs, and in your lyrics. Passion is a tricky thing to get under control, and aimed at the audience, instead of your instument .. You'll soon learn, you have the heart, give it time and patience! Michael

Hi Thomas Very cool song with great potential my friend - You need to re-record in a studio environment - there are plenty of home packages available - I started out using a Magix programme I bought for £20 - a free programme that a lot of folks use is http://audacity.sourceforge.net/. Have a go with this it will make a big difference to the quality. Peace Paul Mcilwaine

nice job man. Reminds me of a bowie demo song I heard.

Nice song Thomas. I agree with most here about the recording quality, but you do with what you have on hand, I suppose. The guitar is too harsh and tinny sounding - recording needs more bass. To me some words were hard to understand in some places, but overall a good performance IMO, and good song. Keep on making music. Remember, the next song is always the best one. grin

Nice tune. I would love to hear a studio version of this tune. Check around the net for a free studio to download and play with it. But overall I enjoyed it.

Nice acoustic melody and original vocals - would definitely spend some $$ on better recording equipment to assist in bringing out your sound to the fullest. Enjoyable listening! Cheers, Bob / RedEyeC

hello Thomas ..i think the song sounds good...the vocals great..but the production lets it down a little ....but thats nothing to worry about...you dont need talent for that..what you have got is good ideas and good songwriting skills ..the rest can be corrected very easily..:) paul

Hello Thomas, How do you feel about this song? I think it's nice but the recording technique needs to be refined. It sounds like you are in a room with wood floors. Is that right? Do a little research on mic placement. That has been my problem. Experiment with the mic. Stand about 3 feet from the mic and point it to the lower right of the sound hole and test your levels. With the vocs about 1 foot. Try that man.... Let me know if any of this works. Peace, Greg

This is a well crafted song. Your melodies, phrasing, playing, vocals, and lyrics combine nicely. I envision a final cut with your guitar and voice sounding sweeter and richer, your singing and playing are nice but will be greatly enhanced as your production value improves. Other than that rectifiable issue you are a singer-songwriter to be reckoned with, great job!
