This is the first song I ever recorded in a real studio. It was written right after Hopping Boxcars, and it's about how we sometimes take faith too literally. My dad plays drums in this version, and a friend of ours plays stand-up bass, which adds a

Hey, I'm Drew Miller. I'm 13, and I've been playing guitar since I was in the 3rd grade. I started writing songs in 6th grade, and now I'm in 8th. I listen to John Mayer, Dave Matthews Band, David Gray, Nickel Creek, Cold War Kids, John Butler Trio, and Jeff Buckley to name a few. I like to think about lots of stuff, and usually it ends up spilling out onto paper as song lyrics. And I think about good quality stuff, to assure you. My melodies are catchy but not too over the top happy or anything. I try to keep a good balance. Please listen and feel free to download some of the songs to your iTunes or whatever. It will please me if you do.

Lyrics
People want to see What they can only feel Seeing it through eyes is the only way For them to know it's real What they think they are perceiving Is just the thing deceiving them And blinding them from knowing What it is they really lack If seeing is believing We're better off blind Our eyes only see What will soon be left behind If seeing is believing We're better off blind Gravity exists because I feel it Pulling me to the ground Pain takes me to the same place Where I can feel them all around Music likes to come and take me away And time never tells me why it can't stay But I don't need my senses to know When faith is here Oh, you know We see right through The meaning of it all Yeah, it's so Our minds have slowed down To a crawl
