Welcome! I am a singer/songwriter of different styles of Christian and Country Music....Enjoy the message I bring, and may your heart be ministered to.
Hello! I'm very glad you stopped in to listen and visit. :) The message I carry is simply this...Jesus loves you and I do too. Hope you enjoy what you hear, and get a blessing from the music, as God does not give His people gifts to just set them upon the shelf, and never be used. I'm only as good as the Lord helps me to be, and I'm thankful for the blessings He has bestowed upon me. I'm NOT perfect, never claimed to be; but on the other hand, I have a message to minister in song, and I do that to the best of my ability. I fully realize there are many songs I demo here that don't fit my style/voice, but I can't run out and get a singer that fits everytime I write a song. :) What I write or cover comes from the heart. I've endured many hard trials in my life, and each one has, in one way or the other made its way into a song that others can relate to. All of my songs except for noted exceptions are free downloads. I'm not a professional by any means, nor am I interested in becoming one; and so the music is given away just as freely as the message was given to me. Story behind the song
Bettye Saint Turner has written so many beautiful poems over the years, and I have had the privilege and honor of reading her work. This poem, written two years ago, and put to song deals with the never-ending need mothers have to protect their children, no matter what the age. As I read it, a melody came from out of nowhere. Saying nothing at first, I worked on building a track for it. She was very touched and pleased when I gave her my finished work..and she still listens to it to this day.
Lyrics
Written by Bettye Saint Turner If I had wings as eagles, How quickly I'd fly to you; To hold you close, And smooth your tears, And point you to life anew. No bondage here, Would hold you down; A lifting and a cleansing We would see, We'd walk down the path Made straight by God; Hand in hand, Just you and me. I would hold you up, I'd lead you home. For that's the job A mother must do. So take my hand, My precious child And I'll walk this way With you.
