Story behind the song
I tend to write most of my lyrics when I am travelling, sitting in hotel rooms alone, just me and my guitar. This one was written just like that, and it actually was inspired by looking at the picture here of James Dean in New York, and that is one of the lines in the song... thats whre it came from, and it just reminded me of how we feel when we have lost love, for whatever reason.
Lyrics
Lonely Soul. As I shuffle through the fallen Autumn Leaves, My mind wanders back to where you were. I walk pass a cemetery, a lonely widow grieves, A chill wind blows and I feel the same as her. We lose, we win, cant find a place to begin again. Time heals, they say, you ain’t always gonna’ feel this way. I hope it’s true, cant ever see me forgetting you, So what is a lonely soul supposed to do. Make my way ,down another grey city street, Black clouds reflected in the glass and steel there. And as the rain falls, the puddles form beneath my feet, And I feel just like James Dean in Times Square. Chorus. Solo. Might as well go home, and watch reality TV, Because nothing out here seems like it’s real to me. Thinking as the darkness falls, why did you set me free, And just like the widow I wonder , what future can there be. Chorus. (Music and Lyrics by Mark Ellis. Copyright 2006.)

The song has a good flow and the vocal is well embedded. Propper production.
