This experiment uses only Hammond organ, picked bass, and percussion. The other 2 tracks were eliminated. In this case I agree with Emperor Joseph II's famous observation, 'Too many notes, my dear Mozart'. Added a little reverb for depth.

Just me and my PC - experimenting with electronic music. Wasn't sure what genre. Maybe just interesting or strange.
No real band. Just me attempting to write a Java program to generate music that is interesting and easy to listen to. So far, I've had enough success to continue with this project. It's very challenging but since I did software and web application development for 40 years I thought I'd give it a try and hope for the best. The output of the music generator is a multi track MIDI file which is easy to edit. I use a new version of Cakewalk to select patches, tweak the volumes, velocities & panning of the instruments. The MIDI generator program uses text script files as input for note pitch & note durations and also for chord progressions. A lot of random elements are inserted by the program so that each MIDI file created is different in some way. I used to play acoustic rythm guitar with my son Jim who plays a Cajun accordian. We jammed a lot and play downtown in Fells Point on the street when the weather is good. It's always a lot of fun. We meet people from all over U.S. and the rest of the world.

Story behind the song
Just another experiment. Seems like the other creations had too much going on, so this time I removed the lead melody and warm pad. The only patchs are Hammond organ, picked bass and percussion which are congas, bongos and bass drum. No changes to the rules/algorithms
Lyrics
Repeat over and over "This is cool". That's all there is to the lyrics ;-)
