Story behind the song
I was actually just plain depressed. I wrote the lyrics as a poem in 2003 and just wrote the music for it recently.
Lyrics
4:20 Thursday evening, stranded in my mind Sometimes I think of leaving, all of this behind All my deepest passion, just gets in the way When the world requires a dunsel, to follow what they say (chorus) How do you keep on living? How do you carry on? When enveloped by fear and weakness, How can you stay so strong? There's no one who can help me, and I can't help myself And so I keep on striving, to become someone else Someone who's accepted, someone who is loved become the other person, who you are dreaming of... (chorus) How do you keep on living? How do you carry on? When enveloped by fear and weakness, How can you stay so strong? SOLO (chorus) How do you keep on living? How do you carry on? When enveloped by fear and weakness, How can you stay so strong?
