Truck Drivin' Daddy's got two loves....
The Clay County Ramblers are two members from the now defunct Rodeo Queen. Skid Severson and Bill Rasmussen are the core group with a rotating cast of friends who have the time to lay down a track or two. Previous and hopefully future players include Mark Perrodin/Bass (Sidewinders, The Sand Rubies), Cathy Rivers/backing vocals (Wonder Twins, Rodeo Queen, Little Black Cloud), and Julia Groves/drums(Topless Opry, Solid Donkey, Clovenhoof).

Lyrics
It’s a lonesome old highway, but my life is the road Between your way and my way, I just can’t let go On asphalt roads & gravel, desert to ocean blue But each mile I travel, takes me farther from you… farther from you Now maybe I’ll start walkin’, turn back around Oh the Interstate keeps callin’, it’s such a soothing sound My Daddy drove before me I’m just a truckers son With me the call came early, now it’s got me on the run… got me on the run Chorus I’m trying to find my way back home And when those tires whine I feel more alone Oh that long white line’s got me hooked yes it’s true But I know that I’ll be fine when it gets me home to you Solo Yeah I know it ain’t fair, we spend most nights apart Cause I’m here and you’re there, and darlin’ it hurts This heavy heart I’m feeling, each milepost on the road And like the freight I’m hauling, is such a heavy load… such a heavy load I’m torn between the blacktop, and a house with a yard I drive, you know I can’t stop, it just ain’t in the cards You say I’m always out there, this lie can’t go on By the time I get to Tucson, you say that you’ll be gone… So I’ll keep movin’ on Chorus
