Hit and miss. It's like marmite. Some people loved it, some didnt. We all agree I shouldn't sing though. Mellow and depressing
Bassy, Semi Alternative, british conscious hiphop based in london. Non agressive, pretty laid back
Cool. So anyway, before Carparkology..and before Strange Water...but after KjD came The LP "The Hiphopalypse" And the unfinished album "The 19 Years War".
These were all made during my 'Structured Hiphop' phase. Most of the songs from my main profile have been moved here, and some other songs ,not previously uploaded, are to follow soon.
Story behind the song
I wrote this song because it's real. It's a little on the depressing side ,yes, but it's harmonic and sweet, and i like it. It sums up how i feel about myself, very real
Lyrics
{Chorus}
Everybody gotta make their choices
Everybody gotta spread their voices
Everybody gotta make themselves heard
'When you come up to the crossroads'
Everybody gotta make their choices
Everybody gotta spread their voices
Everybody gotta make themselves known
'When you come up to the crossroads'
{Verse 1}
Yo, for every crossroad you come to there's two ways you can go
You Either do it or dont, You can choose Yes or no
Is it you or the pros, that loses in the vote
But everybody gotta spread their voice, when making their choice
When it comes to it some are easy, some make you think twice
Don't get many second chances, so you'd better get it right
Feels like the whole worlds waiting, watching you decide
I saw it in a vision, Come on What's your Decision
Make the right Choice, You better do it with precision
Its like Freedom or prison, seems easy, but no it isnt
Hope you never have to come to that, aint no running back
Everything is different when it's over, down the line
That's when you'll wanna turn back the hands of time
When you miss the way that things were, and used to be
Some people Stick by you, and their voice sounds so soothingly
But it's cuz of those choices that I'm not who I used to be
{Verse 2}
You gotta stick by the choices you choose
Speak up, if you're not voicing you lose
Just to proove this, come step in my shoes
Spend a day in my world, now tell me what would you do
I've seen people stunned, people having to run
People chasing them, yo, I've seen people come . .
And go, but they don't know where abouts is home
In the middle of nowhere, they wonder all alone
Thinking of the past, and the choices they made then
Cuz it's those that put them in this situation
Keep your head up stare at the problems you facing
And remember, there's always light at the end of the tunnel
Wether you walking or running, you'll get there somehow
But for now, just keep going straight if you can
Cuz its not the things you own that makes the man
I'm telling the truth, I hope you understand
{Verse 3}
There's a saying round these parts that I probably learned from home
When you walk, you walk with yourself when you run, you run alone
What that means is be easy, gots to take things slow
Don't be hasty Or you'll never know
Living these False pretences, and thanks to that choice now you feeling the consequences
It's incomprehensive, and often it's expensive
With care that's intensive, It's probably better not to mention
What the event is, It's sensless like cruel intentions
Now days I run wild and live with choices I made
But sometimes I think bout if they'd gone the other way
Like If I was a grunger or Rocker tell me would I still Play
If I had plucked up the courage would I still be here today
Or if I'd gone to college would I still be ashamed
Still recieve no praise, Tell me would I still blaze, or arrange
I know I did better than some of those boys did
But I just can't help regretting , some of those choices
