Listen Up Feat. Colgate And Atra Ludio Listen Up Feat. Colgate And Atra Ludio

A bit of a gritty song with hard hitting drums and bass, and a bit of a cheesy chorus. But finely constructed verses including one from Atra Ludio

Pixel Perfect Pixel Perfect

Pixel Perfect is a tribute to computer games, and ok it's not a completely original idea, but it's definetly an original method. All of the music is taken from computer games.

Cool. So anyway, before Carparkology..and before Strange Water...but after KjD came The LP "The Hiphopalypse" And the unfinished album "The 19 Years War". These were all made during my 'Structured Hiphop' phase. Most of the songs from my main profile have been moved here, and some other songs ,not previously uploaded, are to follow soon.
Band/artist history
Well I guess it started way back in about 1998 ('96 i started dabbling) using Octamed Sound Studio Pro, Dr Ts sound Studio and Masteraudio on the Amiga. I made quite a few hiphopish sounding beats and compiled them on my first ever LP Project, 'Levitation Material' under the name 'KJD' (Caged). There were two other members of the group and we started working on a few songs together (most noteably 'The Muthaland') but after a few small disagreements it all ended. In 2000 I ,working alone, produced LM's follow up collection, 'Meditation Material EP'. Which although was nice relaxing music I wasn't happy with, for obvious reasons. About a year later I decided to get serious, changed my artist name to 'Gelfo' and got to work on my next project 'The Hiphopalypse', which eventualy surfaced in December 2002 to a decent reception. After that I started working on the next LP "The 19 years war" but left that half finished realising that it wasnt really me. Now I'm working on different projects covering a wider range of genres and topics. Check out my other profile pages for more on that.
Your musical influences
During this era I was listening to a lot of commercial hiphop. KRS-One, Talib Kweli, Moka Only, The Roots, Dead Prez, Main Flow, Black Thought, RunDMC, Public Enemy, Arrested Development, Spearhead, The Spooks, Roots Manuva, Black Radical MKII, Poor Righteous Teachers. And also lots of other singers like Joe Cocker, Lionel Richie, Christopher Cross, Otis Redding, John Lennon, Lighthouse Family and so on and so forth. But I'd say theyre more
