Room 212 is a place of doubt, fear and pain; but, it's also a place of hope, mercy , peace and the grace of God. You see, Room 212 is the place where my son who was eleven at the time lie in a coma for almost a month after being hit by a car going 50 miles per hour three years ago. After he came out of the coma, he began to tell us how he went to heaven and saw Jesus and his grandpa after the car hit him. He had to relearn how to walk, talk, eat, read, etc... it's been three years and now he's playing drums live with our band! God is good! Room 212 is two dads and two sons. We combine the old and the new in a way that seems to work pretty well for us. Our prayer is that our music will be an encouragement through all the hard times and difficulties in life and through the times of rejoicing as well. God bless, much love, David L. Herring Room two twelve is: David Lee Herring(43)- lyricist, lead singer/rapper David Mark Turner(43)- lead guitar, rhythm guitar, bass guitar, keyboards, percussion, drum programs, background vocals David Anthony Herring(14)- drums in live concert and drum programs on "Nice, Clean Jesus" Justin Turner(20)- rhythm guitar and drum programs on "Save Me!(from myself) and lead guitar on "Nice, Clean Jesus" Room 212

Lyrics
Keepin' Hope Alive ( Prayer from ST. Joseph's Hospital-room 212) lyrics by David Lee Herring verse one: Once again I come, Lord, in prayer to you As I kneel down again right here in room 2-1-2; I ain't gone no where, Lord, I'm still here, Right up in the midst of the doubt and the fear; Where else can I turn? Ain't no place for me togo So, Lord there's somethin'that I wanted youto know I'm keepin' the faith, Lord, I'm holdin on Even though there's time that I moan and groan, and complain, but now Lord, let me explain I'm startin' to feel just like I'm goin' insain Up in all this hurt, and feelin' all this pain Seems like it's just about to drain all of the faith from out of me, then I open your Word, and it speaks to me and then you Word, Lord, it sees me through, Lord just help me keep my faith in you, cause it's easier to doubt Lord, than to trust, but I must, Oh, Lord I must Keep the faith , Keep hope alive gotta keep the faith, keep hope alive Chorus: Keepin' the Faith, Keepin' Hope Alive Keepin the Faith, Keepin' Hope Alive Keepin' the Faith, Keepin' Hope Alive verse two: Sometimes as I drive down 2-75 Here to St. Joseph's and then I see the son that you have given to me Lyin' in the bed motionless and then I think I gotta do my best to be strong, for so long as my wife cries by his side, but in your grace I must abide, gotta keep the faith, keep hope alive, just keep the faith, keep hope alive Verse three: God you're good, and your promises you keep One day he's gonna wake up from his sleep, I'm just a man , I can't try to understand, the reason why for all these things, all I can do is praise your name and sing through the good, Lord, and through the bad even when it seems like I'm goin' mad So, I sing now though I don't know how I can still be here just doin' this cause it seems like jus' to hard a test but all I can do is hold on to you, cause you know them that put their trust in you You're my hiding place, Lord, you're my stronghold in you I find rest for my weary soul; It's out of my hands, Lord, I give you control, just take control, Lord, just take control Final chorus: Chorus repeats several times as the final prayer is prayed: My only son, Lord, he's my only son, but I give him to you and I put him in your hands, cause I'm keepin' my faith, Lord, Keepin' the faith, and keepin' hope alive just keepin' hope alive fades out.
