Experimental, headphone-oriented. A song inspired by the mental feeling of office life and the provocative curiosities that sometimes seep in amidst the hum-drum.

Hello there! This is PaperPhoenix, a papery bird on fire. Or something like that. Well, I'm not really sure how to categorize the sound of PaperPhoenix other than "Experimental" because I really tend to dabble in lots of genres. I like the eclectic, I like sampling obscure and random sounds, and I like singing about things that are unexpected. I'm fascinated by music, and so everything I listen to slips into what I make.

Story behind the song
I was inspired by that odd feeling of combining the daily, hum-drum, sterile atmosphere of repetitive office life with that awkward, vaguely devious feeling of meandering thoughts that trickle in when things are at their most hypnotic. Why is it called the Impatient Gender? Well, probably because it's from the perspective of a rather impatient guy. I guess then I'm stereotyping men as not being able to think about anything but sex. So ha.
