The Impatient Gender The Impatient Gender

Experimental, headphone-oriented. A song inspired by the mental feeling of office life and the provocative curiosities that sometimes seep in amidst the hum-drum.

Hello there! This is PaperPhoenix, a papery bird on fire. Or something like that. Well, I'm not really sure how to categorize the sound of PaperPhoenix other than "Experimental" because I really tend to dabble in lots of genres. I like the eclectic, I like sampling obscure and random sounds, and I like singing about things that are unexpected. I'm fascinated by music, and so everything I listen to slips into what I make.
Have you performed in front of an audience?
Nope.
Your musical influences
I'm influenced by everything I hear and see and do. So pretty often my music ends up being this weird conglomerate of the familiar and the unusual. Given that some of my favorite artists are actually completely unlike my music style, for example Dishwalla and Alanis Morissette, but also BT, theProdigy, Gorillaz, and Bjork. I'm the guy that isn't afraid of saying he likes something in every genre. Sometimes blenders inspire me to make music. I recorded a vacuum cleaner and used it as an instrument once. Yay!
What equipment do you use?
Mostly ingenuity and my computer.
Anything else?
YES! ANYTHING IS HERE!
